1. Agreement
By creating an account or using FYN ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all features including the web app, mobile apps, AI chat, and Agent API.
2. What FYN does
FYN is a personal finance platform that helps you understand your spending. You can connect bank accounts, upload receipts, ask questions about your money, and receive proactive insights. Specifically, the Platform provides tools to:
- 01Connect to financial institutions through Plaid for automatic transaction syncing.
- 02Capture and analyze receipts via photo upload or email forwarding.
- 03Manage budgets, track subscriptions, and monitor net worth across your household.
- 04Access AI chat and voice to ask questions about your financial data.
- 05Receive proactive alerts about spending anomalies, budget risks, and subscription changes.
3. FYN is not financial advice
Important
FYN does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The Platform organizes and analyzes your data to help you make informed decisions, but all financial decisions are yours alone. AI-generated insights are informational. They may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Always verify important financial information independently.
4. Data accuracy
FYN relies on third-party data providers like Plaid for bank transactions and on AI models for receipt extraction and insights. While we work to keep data accurate and current, we cannot guarantee that every transaction, balance, or insight will be perfectly correct at all times. Bank sync delays, API outages, and AI limitations can cause temporary inaccuracies. You should treat FYN as a tool to assist your financial awareness, not as the sole source of truth.
5. AI features
FYN uses AI for chat, voice queries, receipt processing, transaction categorization, and proactive insights. By using these features, you understand that:
- AI responses are generated from your data and general financial patterns.
- Results may occasionally be unexpected or inaccurate.
- Usage limits apply based on your subscription tier.
- You are responsible for decisions you make based on AI output.
6. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected]. Do not share your credentials or allow others to access your account.
7. Acceptable use
When using FYN, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information and keep your account details current.
- Use the Platform only for lawful personal finance management.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or disrupt the Platform.
- Not use automated tools to scrape or abuse the service beyond the Agent API.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
8. Subscription and billing
FYN offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription at $9.99/month.
Pro subscriptions renew automatically each month. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

9. Limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for financial losses resulting from decisions you make using the Platform.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.
- We are not responsible for third-party service outages (Plaid, Stripe, etc.).
- Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding a claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FYN FYI LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your financial decisions, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the Platform settings or by visiting fyn.fyi/remove-account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Platform ends immediately. Data deletion follows the timelines described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or through an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
