The 7 Best Copilot Money Alternatives in 2026 (Compared)

Copilot Money is a polished budgeting app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web. Categorization is AI, categories can roll over, and Rebalance suggests how to move what is left. Alerts cover low balances, big expenses and card utilization, and there is a Monday recap. On Apple devices it itemizes Amazon orders. It has direct links for Fidelity, Capital One, Apple Card and Coinbase. US institutions only.

The reasons people look for a Copilot Money alternative are practical. There is no Android app. There is no free plan: $13 a month or $95 a year after a one-month trial. The receipt detail we could document is those Amazon orders, not a scanner for every store. A household with an Android phone, or anyone who wants to start free and keep receipt line items, will not get that from Copilot.

Full disclosure: we build FYN, one of the apps below. Every competitor fact here comes from that company's own pages. Competitor limits are labeled below. FYN's section uses the pricing page. For the side-by-side, see FYN vs Copilot. The head-to-head with Monarch, checked October 28, 2026, is Copilot Money vs Monarch Money. The wider field is in our best budget apps in 2026 comparison.

1. FYN: Android, a free start, and receipts from any store

FYN is our product. Free is $0. It does not expire and does not ask for a card. Receipt photos and emailed receipts are one monthly count, 20 a month on Free and 200 a month on Pro. Apple Pay and Google Wallet purchases are logged as you pay, on Free and on Pro. Ask FYN is 20 questions a month on Free and 500 on Pro. A read-only connector lets assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT read FYN data.

Pro is $9.99 a month. Bank sync is Pro only, via Plaid, for up to 15 accounts. A free account does not sync a bank. Price history from your receipts is on Pro. Dispute letters are on Pro. The pricing page lists an autopilot budget on Free and Pro, and 1 household member on Free with unlimited household members on Pro. Everyone shares the plan's limits.

Pricing: Free $0, Pro $9.99 a month. See pricing. Receipt scanning is in the free receipt count. Investment analysis: Not documented on the pricing page. Bank sync on FYN is Pro only.

2. Monarch Money: Android, households, and receipt line items

Monarch runs on iPhone, Android and the web. It fills your budget from a six-month average, scans receipts with line items, and accepts receipts by email. Household members are free, each with their own login and role. Banks connect through Plaid, MX and Finicity. Forecasting and investment analysis are on Monarch Plus.

Pricing: Core is $14.99/month or $99.99/year after a 7-day trial; Plus is $199.99/year. No free plan. Honest limitation: Core costs more per year than Copilot's $95, and there is still no free plan. See FYN vs Monarch Money.

3. YNAB: the method, on Android too

YNAB is give-every-dollar-a-job budgeting. Targets and Auto-Assign, including Average Spent, fund categories. It runs on iPhone, Android, web and Apple Watch. YNAB Together puts up to six people on one subscription, each with a login. Direct Import works in North America and 18 European countries. College students get a free year.

Pricing: $14.99/month or $109/year after a 34-day trial with no card. Honest limitation: YNAB categorizes by payee and you approve. Photos can sit on a transaction. That is not a receipt ledger with line items. See FYN vs YNAB.

4. Rocket Money: subscriptions, bills, and a free plan on Android

Rocket Money detects bills and subscriptions on the free plan, suggests budget amounts from your spending, and sends bill reminders. Premium adds a cancellation service, partner sharing, a credit score and real-time sync. It runs on iPhone and Android. The web app is on Premium.

Pricing: free plan; Premium is $7 to $14/month; Premium+ is $15/month. Honest limitation: from November 2, 2026, new bill negotiations require Premium+. Its help pages do not document receipt line items. See FYN vs Rocket Money.

5. Quicken Simplifi: a spending plan on iPhone, Android and the web

Simplifi builds a Spending Plan from monthly income minus bills and subscriptions, updated as you spend. It forecasts future balances, tracks investments, includes a free VantageScore credit score for US residents, and connects to more than 14,000 institutions.

Pricing: $6.99/month billed annually ($83.88/year); new members get $3.99/month for the first year. No free plan. Honest limitation: the first-year price renews at the then-current rate. Receipts are image attachments rather than line items. See FYN vs Quicken Simplifi.

6. PocketGuard: Android, Apple Watch, and one number

PocketGuard is built around Leftover, what is safe to spend after bills and goals. It categorizes automatically and supports zero-based, envelope, 50/30/20 and custom budgets with rollovers. Plus connects unlimited bank accounts through Plaid and Finicity. It runs on web, iPhone, Apple Watch and Android.

Pricing: $12.99/month, $74.99/year or $149.99 lifetime, after a 7-day trial. No free plan. Honest limitation: bill lowering runs through partner Billshark, which PocketGuard says keeps roughly 40% of the first year's savings. See FYN vs PocketGuard.

7. Goodbudget: envelopes, a free plan, and Android

Goodbudget uses the envelope method: you set money aside for each category before you spend it. The Free Forever plan includes 10 regular envelopes and 10 more, one account and two devices. One budget syncs across phones and the web. It runs on web, iPhone and Android.

Pricing: free plan; Premium is $10/month or $80/year. Honest limitation: automatic bank sync is Premium only, US banks only, and you confirm each spend. There is no general receipt scanner. See FYN vs Goodbudget.

Which Copilot Money alternative should you pick?

You live on Apple devices and the interface is the reason you open the app: staying on Copilot is a fair answer. The limits are Android, the lack of a free plan, and receipt detail we could document only for Amazon orders.
