The 7 Best Rocket Money Alternatives in 2026 (Compared)
Rocket Money finds subscriptions and bills, and on paid plans it will cancel subscriptions and negotiate bills for you. The free plan includes subscription and bill detection, a budget with amounts suggested from your spending, and bill reminders. Premium adds custom categories, a credit score, real-time sync, a cancellation service and partner sharing. Premium+ adds Rowan, an AI agent you reach by text.
People look for a Rocket Money alternative when they want a fuller budget, receipt line items, or an app that does not contact a merchant or take a cut of the savings. Premium is a price you choose, $7 to $14 a month, with a 7-day trial. Premium+ is $15 a month. From November 2, 2026, new bill negotiations require Premium+, and the 35 to 60% success fee ends. Until that date, a successful negotiation still costs 35 to 60% of the first year's savings.
Full disclosure: we build FYN, one of the apps below. Every competitor fact here comes from that company's own pages. Competitor limits are labeled below. FYN's section uses the pricing page. For the side-by-side, see FYN vs Rocket Money. The head-to-head with Monarch, checked October 28, 2026, is Rocket Money vs Monarch Money. The wider field is in our best budget apps in 2026 comparison.
1. FYN: subscriptions on the ledger, without contacting the merchant
FYN is our product. Free is $0. It does not expire and does not ask for a card. Receipt photos and emailed receipts are one monthly count, 20 a month on Free and 200 a month on Pro. Apple Pay and Google Wallet purchases are logged as you pay, on Free and on Pro. Ask FYN is 20 questions a month on Free and 500 on Pro. A read-only connector lets assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT read FYN data.
Pro is $9.99 a month. Bank sync is Pro only, via Plaid, for up to 15 accounts. A free account does not sync a bank. Price history from your receipts is on Pro. Dispute letters are on Pro. The pricing page lists an autopilot budget on Free and Pro, and 1 household member on Free with unlimited household members on Pro. Everyone shares the plan's limits.
Pricing: Free $0, Pro $9.99 a month. See pricing. Runs on iPhone, Android and web. Bill negotiation, a cancellation service, a credit score, or automatic subscription detection: Not documented on the pricing page.
2. Monarch Money: a full budget, with receipts
Monarch fills your budget from a six-month average, scans receipts with line items, and accepts receipts by email. Household members are free, each with their own login. It connects through Plaid, MX and Finicity, on iPhone, Android and the web. Forecasting and investment analysis are on Monarch Plus.
Pricing: Core is $14.99/month or $99.99/year after a 7-day trial; Plus is $199.99/year. No free plan. Honest limitation: there is no free plan. You are paying for the household planner, receipts and, on Plus, investments. See FYN vs Monarch Money.
3. YNAB: give every dollar a job, including the subscriptions
YNAB is a method: you assign money before you spend it, including the subscriptions you decide to keep. Targets and Auto-Assign, including Average Spent, fund categories. YNAB Together puts up to six people on one subscription, each with a login. It runs on iPhone, Android, web and Apple Watch.
Pricing: $14.99/month or $109/year after a 34-day trial with no card. College students get a free year. Honest limitation: YNAB categorizes by payee and you approve. See FYN vs YNAB.
4. Copilot Money: tracking on Apple devices
Copilot has polished iPhone, iPad, Mac and web apps, AI categorization, and budget Rebalance suggestions. Alerts cover low balances, big expenses and card utilization, with a Monday recap. On Apple devices it itemizes Amazon orders.

Honest limitation: bill lowering runs through partner Billshark, which PocketGuard says keeps roughly 40% of the first year's savings. That is a different deal from Rocket Money's negotiation fee, and it is still a cut of the savings. See FYN vs PocketGuard.

7. Empower Personal Dashboard: free net worth, if bills were never the point
Empower (formerly Personal Capital) is free. It puts checking, savings, credit cards, loans, mortgages, investments, IRAs and 401(k)s in one net-worth view, with a Retirement Planner, portfolio analysis, bill reminders, and an optional daily email of transactions from the last 24 hours.
Pricing: the dashboard is free. Empower also sells advisory services at 0.89% a year from $100,000 managed. Honest limitation: the budget is one monthly total. Empower is not a subscription cancellation service. See FYN vs Empower.
