Claude Personal Finance

Claude, reading the accounts you connect

Link up to 16 United States banks through Plaid and ask in the Personal Finance hub or in a normal chat. Claude can sort spending by category, show widgets for spending, cash flow, accounts, subscriptions, and upcoming bills, and read balances, credit limits, and up to 24 months of transactions. It does not read investment holdings, trades, rates, or terms. Access is read-only.

FYN

A financial memory Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok can read

Add the FYN connector in Claude. Claude can then read receipt line items, price history, and the budget FYN keeps. The same URL works in ChatGPT and Grok. Open disputes and the bank deadlines stay in the FYN app. Personal Finance remains Claude's own Plaid connection.

What FYN adds

Reading your accounts is the start. FYN does the follow-through.

Line items from every receipt

Scan a receipt or forward it to your household’s own address. FYN keeps each item and price, reads the return deadline off the receipt, and on Pro builds price history from your own trips.

Every transaction decided

FYN categorizes each transaction itself and builds your budget from the last three months of spending. A possible mistake is flagged for you to see, never queued as a chore.

Double charges, followed through

FYN catches a double charge and pushes it to your phone. On Pro it drafts the dispute letter and tracks the bank’s deadlines under Reg E and the Fair Credit Billing Act.

A log of what each app asked

See which app asked what, and when. FYN records the shape of each request, never the answer it gave or the words of your question.

A check before an agent buys

Any connected assistant can ask whether a purchase fits your month. The check returns the facts. It holds nothing and spends nothing.

One URL, every assistant

Add the same FYN URL in ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor. Every tool is read-only, you get an email when a new app connects, and you can revoke any app in Settings.

Good to know: this is a beta, rolling out gradually. You might not see it on an eligible account yet. It is not on Free, Team, or Enterprise, it is not in Claude Duet, and linked accounts are not available in scheduled tasks, Cowork, or Claude Code. United States banks only. Balances can be a day or two old, and Claude can miscount an account that is linked twice. Hub chats are excluded from training. Chats outside the hub follow your Claude privacy settings. Claude still accepts other connectors. We found no Anthropic page that lets ChatGPT or Grok read this Personal Finance link.

FAQ

Is Claude Personal Finance available now?

Anthropic is rolling it out in beta. The announcement, read November 5, 2026, says Personal Finance starts rolling out this week on Pro, Max, and Ultra in the United States. The help article updated that day says the same plans and country, on the web, Claude Desktop, iOS, and Android, and says you might not see it yet. It is not on Free, Team, or Enterprise, and it is not in Claude Duet. That is a beta rollout, not general availability.

What does Personal Finance in Claude cost?

Anthropic does not list a separate Personal Finance price. The help article says it is on Pro, Max, and Ultra, and not on Free. On claude.com/pricing, read November 5, 2026, Pro is $20 a month, or $17 a month when billed annually at $200 up front. Max is $100 a month. Ultra is $200 a month. Those are web prices. Max and Ultra help pages say mobile prices can differ. The pricing page does not name Personal Finance as its own line.

Can Personal Finance move money or see my bank password?

No. Anthropic says access is read-only. Personal Finance cannot move, manage, or invest money, and it is not designed to give investment advice. You sign in at your bank through Plaid. Claude does not ask for or see the bank password. You can unlink a bank in Claude, or disconnect Claude at my.plaid.com.

Can I use FYN and Personal Finance in Claude together?

Yes. They are different connections. Personal Finance is Plaid inside Claude, on the paid plans above. FYN is a custom MCP connector: one bank connection on the free plan, up to 15 bank accounts on Pro at $9.99 a month, read-only tools, and an activity log in FYN. Claude's help still documents custom connectors, and a Plaid switch for chats, so Personal Finance does not replace other connectors. The same FYN URL works in ChatGPT and Grok. We found no Anthropic page that lets those other assistants read the Personal Finance link itself.
